THE EXTRAORDINARY
The Domaine de Murtoli is a place unlike any other: an estate covering 2,500 hectares of unspoilt countryside, 8 km of coastline (including 2.5 km of beaches), and 17th-century sheepfolds and manor housese fully refurbished 19th-century buildings and a highly personalised hotel service. For a more complete experience of Corsica, the Domaine de Murtoli combines perfectly with Misíncu in the north of the island.
ETHICS
The Domaine de Murtoli is, above all, a family story: Paul Canarelli inherited the land from his family in 1993 – the very same place where his grandfather had run his farm. From 1994 onwards, he set about restoring the 17th-century houses and sheepfoldse century whilst respecting the traditional architecture. Agricultural activity has been significantly expanded, using environmentally responsible and organic methods: the farm’s produce is thus served at the estate’s restaurants, including olive oil, cheese from the 400 ewes, veal and lamb, eggs, honey and market garden produce.
