    Immersion in the Coffee Region

    At the heart of the coffee region, not far from Armenia, lies a hidden intimate and lush paradise: Hacienda Bambusa. On this immense estate, a traditional bamboo and clay house shelters a handful of rooms surrounded by the superb mountains of the central Andes, centennial trees, gardens and coffee plantations. In this oasis of peace, 8 rooms welcome travellers who have come to discover the magnificent Quindío region. With their terraces and balconies adorned with hanging hammocks, overlooking the verdant vegetation or the shared pool, the rooms envelop guests in a warm atmosphere with Colombian colours. After a refreshing little swim, fill up on exotic experiences ranging from a coffee plantation tour, cacao tasting, horseback riding or even a nature walk in search of multicoloured birds.

    Over 160 species of exotic birds inhabit the grounds of Hacienda Bambusa. Enjoy a superb 3-hour guided hike with a naturalist guide to observe the spectacled parrotlet, the buff-necked ibis or the grey-bellied comet (a species of hummingbird) in their natural habitat.
