Post Ranch Inn

The golden roof of the Pacific

In the heart of California, between the legendary cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles, the Post Ranch Inn is a chic and luxurious adults-only enclave nestled within vibrant natural surroundings. Its 39 stilt villas and bungalows welcome you in a relaxed atmosphere where serenity and simplicity reign supreme. Nicknamed the golden roof of the Pacific, the Post Ranch Inn reveals its exceptional Tree Houses and bungalows, perched more than 300 metres above the ocean, amidst a coastal forest of redwoods and oaks. This bohemian cliffside palace offers chic wooden cabins on stilts, where steel and stone complement the natural architecture of these luxurious units of absolute comfort. Imagine... Waking up in your authentic tree house enveloped in mist, walking down a few wooden steps and diving into a superb turquoise pool suspended above the Pacific, where the warm steam of the water blends with the first rays of sunshine... You can also sample subtle dishes at the Sierra Mar gourmet restaurant or practice yoga in an atmosphere in harmony with nature.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

The exhibitions change throughout the year, giving Big Sur community artists the chance to gain recognition while offering a refreshing perspective on the world around us.

ETHICS

Mindful of its exceptional natural environment and its preservation, the Post Ranch Inn has designed 39 treehouses using sustainable materials, where various drought-tolerant plants abound. You will not find any phones or televisions here either. The water is, of course, recycled, and the hotel uses solar energy at the heart of its committed ethical programme. Mind where you step... you might just tread on California red-legged frogs, an endangered species.
