    Al Maha Desert Camp consists of 42 luxurious tents inspired by traditional Bedouin encampments, set right in the heart of the dunes and surrounded by the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a protected natural reserve. The tents are spacious and tastefully furnished with fine oriental furniture and local artisan crafts and fabrics. Each tent has its own private terrace and pool with uninterrupted views of the desert and endless dunes. Set against this magnificent backdrop of absolute calm, you may be lucky enough to spot oryx or gazelles during your stay. It is also an intimate retreat for couples seeking peace and tranquillity (children under 10 are not permitted) and the ideal place to set off and admire the desert and observe its wildlife. After a day in the desert, you can relax at the spa or in the privacy of your tent with a treatment or massage inspired by traditional Middle Eastern or Asian practices. Al Maha features three restaurants where you can savour delicious oriental or western specialities in a stunning natural setting. If you prefer, you can also dine in the privacy of your tent to make the most of the natural beauty of the location.

    Al Maha Camp is situated in the middle of a protected nature reserve where it plays an important role in the conservation and protection of wildlife and flora. The hotel is committed to a programme for the reintroduction of animals into their natural habitat, including the oryx, an endangered and threatened species, and has taken part in the planting of 6,000 trees.
