Frégate cares for its ecology: construction materials used, goods landed, foreign animal species forbidden, protection of native animals (marine and land tortoises, birds including the rare Magpie Robin). It is also a nurturing land that houses a prolific organic vegetable garden and greenhouses. 2 species of marine turtles are protected there, not to mention the 3,000 Aldabra giant land tortoises!!!
