Touessrok by Shangri-La

Situated opposite Île aux Cerfs, the Touessrok is one of Mauritius's iconic hotels. Renovated in 2015 when it joined the Shangri-La hotel group, the 200 rooms and suites, as well as the interior spaces, have been given a fresh look in a more tropical and Asian style. The address remains a must-visit with its 6 beautiful white sandy beaches and privileged access to a private island to the north of Île aux Cerfs called Îlot Mangénie. A 10-minute speedboat hop takes you there, and from your private beach, you can spend an unforgettable day with lunch with your feet in the sand. On the culinary front, in addition to the island's beach restaurant, the hotel boasts 4 restaurants and 3 bars offering a refined menu with Indian, Japanese and Western flavours. Throughout your days, you can choose to indulge in a range of land and water sports, organise bespoke sightseeing excursions with the concierge, or simply enjoy the expert treatments at the "Chi" Spa.

ETHICS

Shangri-La's Touessrok supports and partners with two organisations: the Fifi ek Tizan nursery school and the Eastern Welfare Association for Disabled, a special school that works towards the employment of people with disabilities. The hotel also aims to reduce its environmental footprint, having already equipped itself with its own bottling system to avoid plastic bottles, and uses refillable bath products. Finally, the hotel team takes part in monthly beach cleaning campaigns.
