Son Ermità & Binidufà

Two histories, one horizon

In the wild north of Menorca, where the unspoiled countryside meets the coastline, Vestige Collection has brought together two country houses 18th-century historic buildings at the heart of an 800-hectare agricultural estate dotted with olive groves. Just a few minutes apart via a private road, Son Ermita occupies the heights, revealing its protected position in the Tramuntana mountains and its terraces with nearly 360-degree views of the land and the sea horizon. Below, Binidufà is hidden at the foot of a wooded hill, anchoring its typically Menorcan red stone facades in a rustic-chic atmosphere of calm and deep comfort. With only 21 rooms spread across the entire estate, the experience is based on total freedom: guests can enjoy the facilities of both properties, access 4.5 km of coastline featuring five secluded beaches and coves, and alternate between a multi-culturally inspired fine-dining concept at Son Ermita and a flexitarian, market-garden-to-table dining experience at Binidufà.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

This estate entrusts you with the keys to an 800-hectare private natural park bordered by 4.5 km of virgin beaches. The experience banishes monotony by allowing you to navigate freely between two hotel atmospheres, three outdoor pools including a 142 m² basin, a lagoon pool, and two contrasting culinary concepts. Then, as night falls under the skies of Menorca, designated a dark sky reserve, a local astronomer reveals the constellations to you while recounting the island's Arab history against the backdrop of the ruins of Santa Agueda castle, which overlooks the estate.

ETHICS

The meticulous renovation of the buildings was carried out by the architects from Vestige in close collaboration with local craftspeople to preserve their expertise. Anchored on an island protected as a UNESCO biosphere reserve, the estate is committed to implementing ecological heating and water management solutions. This sustainable approach extends to the kitchen with ethical, farm-to-table sourcing from local producers.
