    Tucked away right in the middle of a fortress originally built to protect the Bay of Palma, Cap Rocat is a major architectural achievement involving the restoration of a building classified as a Cultural Good and National Heritage Site. Blending harmoniously into its protected natural environment, the fortress was meticulously renovated in keeping with this rich heritage, earning it the Europa Nostra award. Carved out of sandstone, the Cap Rocat hotel offers the unique experience of staying in a fortified citadel, with its 25 rooms and suites featuring vaulted ceilings, stone floors, natural fabrics and soft colours. Some suites boast a private pool and a viewing platform offering impressive views over the azure bay. The most sheltered part of the hotel houses the spa, carved into the rock yet sun-drenched, which invites you on a sensory journey thanks to its lovely saltwater pool, its fragrances and its Ayurvedic treatments. Do not miss the hammam tradition, a unique experience during which the spa is reserved exclusively for you to enjoy the benefits of roses, jasmine, lavender and eucalyptus... On the culinary front, Cap Rocat plays the intimacy card with its La Fortaleza restaurant, designed to welcome around thirty guests with traditional Majorcan cuisine.     THE EXTRAORDINARY

    The renovation and adaptation of Cap Rocat for its use as a hotel was carried out by Antonio Obrador's studio, which has always ensured the preservation of the architectural singularity and natural environment of the former complex. The renovation has transformed the austere communal areas of the fortress into relaxation zones where the modern and contemporary coexist with the classic and historical. The fortress has become an oasis of peace, an experience in itself, an ideal meeting place where the sea breeze cradles moments of tranquillity.

    ETHICS

    Cap Rocat is located in a marine protected area, characterised by its rich Posidonia underwater meadows. The hotel has put up around fifty posters informing its guests of the ecological importance of this exceptional environment, and is holding an exhibition on the birds and other species that inhabit the surroundings of Cap Rocat. The hotel follows a strict water and energy consumption policy, reduces the use of chemical cleaning products, prioritises the purchase of local products, and supports the ONDINE association, which is committed to protecting the marine environment.
