THE EXTRAORDINARY
Torre de Palma Wine Hotel celebrates the passions of wine, horses and well-being, once nurtured by the Romans. The hotel also pays tribute to the country lifestyle of the people of the Alentejo, and more particularly to the Basilii family who once lived on the estate. As a member of Design Hotels, the property is characterised by interiors adorned with elegant furniture, vintage pieces, wooden elements and original trinkets, giving the whole a unique pastoral charm.
ETHICS
Torre de Palma is one of the first hotels in Portugal to be awarded the Biosphere label, certifying sustainable management of the property across 5 areas: the fight against climate change, environmental protection, social and economic development, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The hotel, for example, is equipped with solar panels, sources as much as possible from local produce and employs a majority of workers from the region.
