Parilio

PARILIO, A DESIGN HOTELS MEMBER

Located on the island of Paros, between whitewashed fishing villages and crystal-clear water coves, Parilio is a sanctuary shaped in the image of the Cyclades. Aligned with the tranquil pace of life in this region of Greece, the hotel offers an oasis of calm while remaining just a stone's throw from the island's beaches and cultural sites. A proud member of the Design Hotels collection, Parilio unfolds in cubic lines, arch-shaped openings and immaculate white exteriors, replicating the monastic architecture of Paros. The hotel is home to 33 suites blending tradition and modernity, all equipped with a terrace or balcony and some featuring a private pool. The bedroom decoration places the emphasis on high-end furniture and natural colours ranging from pristine white, terracotta and bronze. Stretching between the hotel's two entrances, the Parilio pool stands out with its original cross shape and rocks reminiscent of the island's coastal landscapes. Named after the sun, the Elios Spa invites guests to enjoy a moment of peace and harmony thanks to the benefits of local plants used for treatments. The sensory journey continues at the Mr E restaurant, where renowned chef Alexandros Tsiotinis pays tribute to old traditional recipes and the island's terroir.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

Parilio is characterised by its traditional Cycladic architecture and interiors featuring soothing tones and natural materials. The arches, concrete columns and thick masonry brilliantly replicate ancient construction techniques. Terracotta floors, marble and wood lend the interiors a true sense of character. The hotel's architect has skilfully combined contemporary pieces by Greek craftspeople with works of art by major European designers. The overall effect gives Parilio the identity of a sanctuary in which one would want to linger indefinitely...

ETHICS

The Kanava Hotels group has been involved in sustainable development since the opening of its first property in 1993. The group's hotels offer their guests activities in partnership with local communities and their artisans. The group supports community projects and is a partner of the Cyclades Preservation Fund to raise children's awareness of environmental conservation. As for the restaurants, they are supplied with local produce as much as possible. The hotels optimise their energy and waste management, and hot water requirements are partly met by solar energy.
