Hôtel du Couvent

Following an intense transformation, the Hôtel du Couvent has just opened its doors on the heights of Nice's old town. Hidden from view, a splendid terraced garden is revealed, home to over three hundred local plant species. This preserved paradise also conceals a bakery, an herbalist's shop, Roman baths, a swimming lane and a soaring view over the city and the Mediterranean. The convent offers 88 rooms with monastic lines and warm tones, opening variously onto the garden, the sea or the city's rooftops. A haven for epicures, the cuisine is showcased across three tables: La Guinguette for rustic lunches, Le Bistrot des Serruriers, and Le Restaurant du Couvent for more structured meals throughout the day and into the evening. Sourced from the region's finest artisans, the menus reflect southern tradition, relying on exceptionally fresh produce. In keeping with this "farm-to-table" ethos, the hotel hosts its own market every Saturday morning in the orange tree courtyard. Four centuries after its foundation, the Couvent is beginning a second life, transforming itself into a friendly and authentic hub that is sure to charm the people of Nice as well as all guests who choose to stay there.
