THE EXTRAORDINARY
"Jiva" is a Buddhist term meaning a living being. Jiva Hill, the living hill, is a dream 10 years in the making with the somewhat crazy idea of transforming agricultural land in an exceptional location into a paradise offering luxury, sport, peace and relaxation to its guests. Art holds a special place at the hotel, as since 2012 Jiva Hill has hosted a permanent exhibition by New York photographer Roberto Dutesco, featuring wild horses from Sable Island in Nova Scotia.
ETHICS
Jiva Hill Resort has chosen to use artificial turf on all of its golf greens and tees, which eliminates the issue of water and phytosanitary product consumption. More broadly, the hotel's vision is to make golf more accessible, as it is considered an elitist sport. Its course has a growing number of regular members. The establishment also runs a golf school that welcomes over 100 young people and regularly organises introduction days for primary school pupils. It is a project that successfully combines leisure with environmental common sense.
