    San Canzian Village & Hotel enchants visitors with its rural spirit, where the traditional meets contemporary luxury, set in the peaceful surroundings of the Istrian countryside. Located in the north of Croatia’s largest peninsula, a few kilometres from the Slovenian border, the San Canzian estate offers an isolated bucolic retreat while remaining easily accessible. The hotel houses 23 comfortably designed rooms and suites inspired by the local way of life, as well as a small two-storey villa with a private swimming pool, ideal for couples. On the culinary front, the chef at the Luciano restaurant will be delighted to help you discover the flavours of the local terroir, including wonderful olive oils, award-winning wines, and traditional dishes such as maneštra (vegetable soup) and pljukanci (homemade pasta). At the end of the day, sip a signature cocktail at the San Canzian bar or by the outdoor pool while admiring the enchanting views of the estate's vineyards and olive groves. It is hard to imagine that these tranquil grounds once concealed a fortress. The delightful nature, however, has remained the same.

    ETHICS

    San Canzian has acquired less energy-intensive and more water-efficient equipment, irrigates its gardens with recycled wastewater, ensures the sorting and recycling of its waste, favours bulk purchasing, contributes to protecting the local flora and highlights the Croatian artist Duje Botteri in its interior decoration. The hotel has its own organic vegetable garden which supplies the restaurant with seasonal fruit and vegetables, sources its supplies from local producers, and the olive oil comes from its own olive grove.
