Hacienda San José

On the hacienda trail

The owners of the Hacienda San Jose have brilliantly succeeded in preserving the property's architectural heritage. As soon as you pass through the gates of the hacienda, you are plunged into the timeless charm of a former plantation. Combining comfort and authentic surroundings, you will step into another world in the heart of a tropical garden landscape, within a unique historical setting. Hacienda San Jose is home to just 15 suites and villas, all unique and spacious, featuring colourful yet elegant decor and ceilings over 5 metres high. You can enjoy your meals in the San Jose restaurant, which occupies the former plantation mill, or in the garden beneath centuries-old trees, where you will savour regional dishes made from fresh, local produce, devised and prepared by Chef Reyes Santos. After a wonderful day dedicated to discovering the surrounding Mayan sites, step through the doors of the Hacienda Spa to enjoy a soothing treatment, or opt for a dip in the lovely outdoor pool... unless you prefer to be tempted by one of the woven cotton hammocks so typical of the Yucatan region.

ETHICS

The Hacienda favours products of natural origin and those from organic farming. The hotel also reuses grey water to irrigate its gardens where it grows all its fruit and vegetables. As for the rooms, they are equipped with an intelligent lighting system to reduce energy consumption. The owners of the Hacienda support the «World Haciendas Foundation», which helps local communities through economic, environmental and social projects.
