TRI

Inspired by nature

Overlooking Sri Lanka’s largest natural lake, Lake Koggola, the TRI Hotel is a yoga retreat set in an enchanting location that inspires tranquillity and meditation. Designed by an architectural firm inspired by environmental protection, the hotel is shaped like a snail, with the water tower (containing three bedrooms) at the centre, the villas and yoga pavilion along the edge of the ‘shell’, and the main house with its beautiful swimming pool at the head.. The layout, the lines, the vegetation, the minimalist décor – nothing has been left to chance, and all the materials used reflect the very essence of the island, from cinnamon wood to granite. From lake to plate, dining at Le Tri is an organic and seasonal ritual. The founding culinary concept is the ‘100% freshness’ fusion cuisine: creative dishes that are as delicious and appealing as they are nutritious and authentic. Wellbeing is at the heart of Le TRI’s philosophy, which offers group and one-to-one Quantum Yoga classes, as well as a range of bespoke Ayurvedic treatments.

ETHICS

The philosophy of the Tri hotel is based above all on the «local», and this is expressed in the construction of the hotel using local and recycled materials, in the composition of its team with local recruitment, and in the kitchen produce which all come from surrounding producers and fishermen. The Tri hotel was designed around a water reservoir: the water is heated using solar energy and the hotel's swimming pools use a chlorine-free purification system to minimise the impact on the environment.
