Chena Huts

Sri Lankan safari

It is on the edge of the Yala National Park and by the ocean that the irresistible Chena Huts has been conceived. 14 thatched-roof cabins, halfway between a tent and a cocoon, have been scattered across untouched wilderness. Set on stilts, they offer a terrace with a plunge pool and a superb view over the property. Tastefully decorated, they feature an original design reminiscent of African safari tents, but interpreted in a local, tropical style. Chena is the dream stopover to enjoy the wild coast and Yala National Park, renowned for its high density of leopards. For a day, you will set off with an experienced safari guide on their trail, as well as to encounter many other species such as elephants, deer, buffalo, monkeys, birds, etc.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

To give you the assurance of a stay as close to nature as possible, you can dine away from the restaurant, around a campfire under the stars or near the beach. You may then be lucky enough to observe sea turtles coming to lay their eggs in the moonlight, or even elephants that may come down from the neighbouring jungle and pass close to your hut. For a more complete experience of Sri Lanka, Chena Huts pairs perfectly with Ulagalla in the Cultural Triangle.
