THE EXTRAORDINARY
The Amanemu hotel offers its guests unusual experiences such as meeting the «ama», known as «women of the sea», who are female free-divers capable of descending to depths of around ten metres to harvest shellfish. These women are becoming increasingly rare in Japan. For a more complete experience of Japan, Amanemu pairs perfectly with an'Aman Tokyo and the'Aman Kyoto.
ETHICS
The Amanemu hotel was built using only natural materials such as wood and bamboo. The hotel is committed to protecting and respecting the natural environment by offering fish and seafood caught directly by local fishermen as well as dishes made with locally grown fruit and vegetables.
