    Amanemu and its natural hot springs

    Nestled within the Ise-Shima National Park and at the heart of a forest, Amanemu is set on a hillside and thus boasts breathtaking views of Ago Bay, known as the «Bay of Pearls» and famous for the cultivation of Akoya pearls. The 24 suites and 4 villas are a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Japanese country houses, constructed from light wood and bamboo. All feature paper partitions and sliding doors with large picture windows opening out onto nature. Each room also comes with its own onsen (natural thermal hot spring bath), allowing for optimal relaxation. The Amanemu restaurant offers a wide variety of seafood and Japanese dishes primarily crafted from locally grown produce: you will discover Nabari melon, as well as Matsusaka beef, which is highly renowned in Japan. While Amanemu is the dream destination for discovering Japanese aesthetics and the art of living, it is also the ideal place to relax in peace and contemplate nature. The hotel features a 2,000 m² spa, designed around a large onsen, which offers wellness programmes based on a minimum stay of 3 nights.

    THE EXTRAORDINARY

    The Amanemu hotel offers its guests unusual experiences such as meeting the «ama», known as «women of the sea», who are female free-divers capable of descending to depths of around ten metres to harvest shellfish.
