Bawah Reserve

Anambas Marine Park

Located 250 km north-east of Singapore, the Bawah Reserve consists of 6 islands covering an area of 300 hectares, with 13 beaches and 3 lagoons. It is a wonderful natural setting serving as a backdrop for an ecological and intimate retreat of just 35 suites surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Anambas archipelago in Indonesia. It is only accessible by private seaplane from Batam Island, opposite Singapore, with one flight a day departing early in the morning. The island requires effort to reach, but is well worth the journey, whereupon you discover an exotic paradise offering a choice of suites on the beach, in the jungle and even over the water. All the suites are constructed from bamboo and canvas, and have been designed in a very successful retro-tropical style, notably featuring splendid copper bathtubs. The hotel has 3 restaurants: Tree Tops, suspended in the jungle; The Grouper and The Boat House, with your feet in the sand; and the Jules Verne bar, perched at the top of the reserve, offering breathtaking views of nature.

STYLE

Made entirely of bamboo, the suites have incredible charm, halfway between tropical and colonial style.
