    Jawai, a Relais & Châteaux property

    The Sujan Jawai luxury camp has just 10 tents, all open to the wilderness offering a magical and intimate immersion in the heart of the Rajasthan steppes. The spacious, light-coloured tents are decorated simply in a colonial style, with elegant furniture mixing leather and steel. They feature terraces offering magnificent views of the untouched nature and the granite hills. The main attraction of Jawai is the leopard, which lives there in the wild. There are around forty of them in the surrounding bush that you will try to spot, accompanied by trackers and experienced guides to follow in their footsteps. The camp is also just a few minutes from Jawai Bandh, one of Rajasthan's largest water reservoirs, which attracts wildlife and numerous bird species including flamingos and sarus cranes. At Sujan Jawai, meals are organised around the rhythm of safaris and excursions and also according to your wishes: no timetable, no restrictions. You can choose to have lunch either in the furnished tented restaurant or picnic in the bush and in the evening, have your dinner around a campfire under the stars.

We invite you to go on a hike to experience a privileged encounter with the Rabari nomadic shepherds, who live in total harmony and peace with the indigenous flora and fauna. This hike may even lead you to stumble upon one of the reserve's 55 leopards.

    ETHICS

    The Sujan hotel group is a major player in sustainable development, implementing awareness programmes focused on respect for and conservation of wildlife, as well as programmes dedicated to the local population. It employs local people, whom it trains, and financially supports the schools in the neighbouring villages. On the culinary side, the dishes served in the restaurant are prepared using fresh produce from the camp's vegetable garden or nearby farms. Sujan also supports leopard conservation research projects.
