Tangala House

Intimacy by the falls

Tangala House is a luxurious family home on the banks of the Zambezi, originally the holiday home of the Parker family, owners of Tongabezi. It is located near their lodge, Tongabezi, 15 km upstream from Victoria Falls. Designed with family in mind, the house features a 13 m private swimming pool, its own gym, and four bedrooms, three of which are en suite. Elegantly designed and furnished, the house has been featured in the UK edition of House and Garden magazine and is rented with a private vehicle and boat, chef, house staff and a dedicated guide, ensuring a wonderfully bespoke stay.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

Tangala has managed to shield itself from the bustle of Victoria Falls and offers a resolutely adventurous approach to the region, with its exclusive bush lunches on Livingstone Island, which David Livingstone set foot on on the 1st to admire the Falls, and organises expeditions to view the lunar rainbows during the full moon.

ETHICS

Tangala strives to generate as little noise, waste and CO2 as possible for its natural environment. Wastewater from the lodge feeds the organic garden producing the chef's vegetables. Construction timber comes from renewable forests, and the lodge actively supports the local Tujatane school financially and through training.
