The camp, owned by Time & Tide, was designed by the same talented duo of architects, Silvio Rech and Leslie Carstens, who conceived the camp in harmony with the natural site and Zambian construction methods. The camp offers 6 superb canvas villas raised on indigenous wooden platforms. Each villa (including a family tent) features modernist architecture imbued with references to Mother Nature, complete with a small private plunge pool on the outdoor deck. It is the ideal starting point for exploring South Luangwa National Park with elegance. On the menu: vast herds of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants, as well as crocodiles and hippos, a plethora of predators and a multitude of elusive birds to observe...     By acquiring Norman Carr’s camps, Time & Tide has preserved the conservation legacy established by its founder in the 1950s. The lodge works closely with local communities and plays an active role in conserving its natural environment through its Time & Tide Foundation, which allocates 300,000 $ annually to various projects (women’s empowerment, village education, sponsorship of higher education, health infrastructure, species conservation, etc.).
