THE EXTRAORDINARY
Katavi is a huge park of nearly 4,500 km², comprising the Katuma river and the vast floodplains of lakes Chada and Katavi. To soak up the magic of this universe, Chada Katavi offers fabulous 3 to 4-day fly-camping treks allowing you to venture into very remote areas. For a more complete experience of western Tanzania, Chada Katavi combines perfectly with Greystoke Mahale.
ETHICS
Nomad Tanzania, the owner of Chada Katavi, donates 3$ per night to the Nomad Trust, which includes the Mimampi project – named after the forest where the Pimbwe people originally came from. As a result, the community has gained the capacity to manage its own reserve and provides financial support for projects run by women and beekeepers.
