    Zuka Lodge, a Zulu tribute

    Phinda Private Game Reserve has already won numerous eco-tourism awards. It is an exciting reserve because it is home to 7 different natural habitats and therefore a rich animal and bird life, including the famous Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) and over 380 bird species. Phinda features 6 intimate lodges (Zuka Lodge, Rock Lodge, Forest Lodge, Vlei Lodge, Mountain Lodge and the private homestead, The Homestead) which share a unique property of nearly 30,000 hectares. &Beyond Phinda Zuka Lodge offers just 4 thatched cottages opening onto a watering hole that attracts game throughout the day. It is a lodge with stunning charm offering rooms with a streamlined aesthetic and a very graphic design approach, alongside a main lodge designed in a more traditional safari style that encourages the sharing of experiences around the campfire. Zuka also features a pleasant swimming pool, a reading area, a lounge, a dining room and a kitchen that encourages guests to take part in preparing recipes.
