You wind your way along a path carved into the earth to emerge at a striking reception area opening majestically onto a granite bush dotted with rivers.     Each suite at Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge is an ode to nature, featuring natural wood sculptures by South African artist G. Armstrong. With a private pool, bathroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor shower, the experience is multi-sensory. The Amber Suite, with its tree-shaped headboard, is truly impressive.

    The Sabi Sabi private reserve is developed on a model that balances sustainable tourism (respect for the site, water recycling), concrete conservation measures for the flora and fauna (eradication of alien plants) and tangible support for local communities (170 employees come from local villages and are then trained).
