Bisate Lodge

A unique architecture

Bisate is an exceptional lodge located on the slopes of an eroded volcanic cone, on the edge of the Volcanoes National Park, which is world-renowned for being home to the last families of endangered mountain gorillas. It is both a very luxurious lodge and an ecolodge with a highly audacious architecture designed by the South African architectural firm Nicholas Plewman. The result is spectacular, featuring 6 villas with the organic appearance of traditional thatched and woven papyrus huts. Each villa comprises a bedroom, a living room with a fireplace, a bathroom, and large bay windows offering extraordinary views of the Bisoke and Karisimbi volcanic peaks. A 3- to 4-night stay allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the location and the truly unique experience of encountering the incredible "silverbacks".
