    Complete disconnection in the Namib Desert

    At the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, a vast desert region spanning over 200,000 hectares, Kwessi Dunes blends harmoniously into an ochre, mountainous setting. Built in the desert in 2020, the lodge consists of 12 chalets with canvas walls and thatched roofs, furnished with vintage four-poster beds and decorated in yellow and sandy tones. A private shaded terrace invites you to tirelessly contemplate the desert. On the side of each chalet, an open-air bed (a «skybed») allows you to sleep under the stars to complete the Namib Desert experience. Within the main lodge, bay windows open onto rolling sand that eventually meets the mountains in the distance. Enjoy a bar, a library corner, several lounge and dining areas, a campfire for sharing safari stories, and an outdoor swimming pool offering a refreshing break under the desert sun.     The Natural Selection group invests in Namibian wildlife conservation projects and social programmes benefiting local communities. The group has thus created its own foundation, Natural Selection Foundation, whose projects focus on the protection of the rhinoceros and the Angolan giraffe, the mitigation of conflicts between villagers and large carnivores, and the education of children in environmental conservation.
