Mkulumadzi

Mkulumadzi, the secrets of Majete

Located in southern Malawi, Majete is a national park covering 70,000 hectares and is part of the Great Rift Valley in Africa. The reserve is made up of miombo woodlands and granite-capped hills that contrast with picturesque valleys and lush forest. For connoisseurs, many species have found refuge there, such as the black rhinoceros, leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo, eland, kudu, sable antelope, suni, klipspringer, Lichtenstein's hartebeest and zebra. It is within a 7,000-hectare private concession that Mkulumadzi has been established, at the confluence of two rivers shaded by giant trees. The lodge features eight superb chalets, each with genuine indoor spaces and a private terrace. The lodge offers 4x4 safaris, walking safaris and even boat safaris before returning to the lodge to enjoy the swimming pool and an unforgettable dinner beneath the starry canopy.
