Pumulani is the only lodge created within Lake Malawi National Park, on the enchanting shores of the lake of stars, as David Livingstone so aptly described it. 10 vast, luxurious villas blend into the bush to offer breathtaking views of Africa's 3rd largest lake, renowned for being home to over 1,000 species of fish, including the famous cichlids. Pumulani lodge was created by Robin Pope Safaris, with the aim of providing a clever, relaxing extension to the bustling safaris organised in Zambia. Just 4 hours door-to-door from the South Luangwa safari camps, Pumulani is an ideal beach retreat, located on the west bank of the Nankumba Peninsula at the very southern tip of Lake Malawi. 10 huge villas of 125m², all different, have been built in harmony with their environment overlooking a sublime lake panorama. Far from the hustle and bustle, you can enjoy a wide range of water sports (snorkelling, kayaking, waterskiing, sailing, fishing, diving...). You can leisurely observe a multitude of birds, fish and stars. And you will never tire of the spectacular sunsets over the lake from your private terrace or by taking a traditional dhow.

Pumulani is a paradise for lovers of lake fish and doing nothing. It offers a luxurious and authentic retreat in a stunning, still uncrowded region. The lodge is closed from January to March due to the rains, and everyone will choose their season according to their affinity for humidity levels.
