With Duke's Camp, Jack Bousfield's adventurous spirit establishes itself in a new territory, to the north of the magical Okavango Delta. While for over 30 years Jack's Camp has been the iconic canvas-tent African safari, inspired by the desert landscapes of the Makgadikgadi Pans, Duke's Camp communes with the meanderings of the Okavango and its wild waters. A permanent camp named in honour of «Duke» Sarefo, the guardian of this unspoilt domain born right here 80 years ago, Duke's Camp comprises 8 tents raised on wooden platforms, including one dedicated to families. Each of the rooms is carefully positioned to offer a superb view of the bush, its fauna and flora. Inside, you will discover a vintage safari decor with carved wooden four-poster beds, Persian rugs, plush fabrics, mahogany sideboards adorned with African souvenirs, and richly coloured patterned kilims. The tents at Duke's Camp harmoniously blend old-world charm, traditional safari know-how and environmental respect. While it is not uncommon to observe elephants and antelopes approaching the camp, spectacular and diverse wildlife awaits you during unforgettable excursions by 4x4, mokoro and boat. In the welcome shade of the ebony trees, travellers returning to camp will enjoy a small outdoor swimming pool and a main tent with period glamour and Persian elegance. At dinnertime, crystal glasses and antique silverware are brought out to enjoy a three-course meal celebrating the generosity of the safari of yesteryear. Beneath the gentle glow of lanterns, do not forget to taste Bousfield's legendary chilli sauce and settle down by the campfire to observe the starry sky, before returning to the comfort of your tent... your mind rich with all the African adventures experienced during your day in the Delta!
