The Siam

State of the art

The Siam is a one-of-a-kind property, halfway between a hotel and a museum. It plunges guests back into Bangkok's greatest era, that of King Rama V, with a strong Art Deco influence. The owner enlisted the famous architect Bill Bensley, having noted their shared interest in antique shops. Thus was born the crazy project of The Siam, a hotel in which over 25,000 sourced pieces have found their natural place among the 39 suites and villas and the numerous communal living spaces, such as the two restaurants "Deco" and "Chon Thai", the "Bathers" bar, the "Cha" café, the library, the shop, the art gallery and the "Opium" spa. The result is stunning; the work on space, light, the integration of furniture, objects and plants gives the hotel a very soothing atmosphere, bordering on a waking dream.

The Naga is a golden teak barge, which was originally used to transport rice to the main towns of Thailand. Accommodating up to 8 guests, it has been converted into a private cruise boat with a lovely rooftop allowing you to discover Bangkok's key sights from the river. It is one of Siam’s signature excursions!

ETHICS

The Sukosol hotel group, owner of The Siam, is a major player in sustainable development. To achieve this, it has implemented charitable programmes and environmental compliance standards across all its hotels. The choice of architect Bill Bensley was also driven by this philosophy of sustainability, which is at the heart of all the architectural firm's projects.
