A true sanctuary of conservation, the island of Frégate is home to more than 3,000 giant Aldabra tortoises in the wild. It is here that the Seychelles singing parrot was saved from extinction, amidst an intact primary forest. Surrounded by the famous Anse Victorin, the island combines ultra-exclusivity and strict ecological restoration. A rare place where wild nature takes precedence over everything else.
ETHICS
Frégate cares for its ecology: construction materials used, goods landed, foreign animal species forbidden, protection of native animals (marine and land tortoises, birds including the rare Magpie Robin). It is also a nurturing land that houses a prolific organic vegetable garden and greenhouses. 2 species of marine turtles are protected there, not to mention the 3,000 Aldabra giant land tortoises!!!
