    In the northern Musandam Peninsula on the Strait of Hormuz, Six Senses Zighy Bay reveals itself from atop desert mountains bordered by pale waters. Accessible via a charming, winding road carved directly into the rock, Six Senses Zighy Bay appears like a mirage in a bright, luminous bay. The 82 villas, styled after local architecture, reflect the authenticity of the fishing village of Zighy through genuine furnishings built with local materials. Each villa features its own summer pavilion made of branches and palm leaves, inspired by traditional huts.     ETHICS

    To live in harmony with the environment and the local community, the team has committed to rebuilding the village of Zighy. To reduce imports, head chef Richard Lee buys his fresh produce from the villagers, or picks it from the resort's organic vegetable gardens and his orchard located a few kilometres away.
