THE EXTRAORDINARY
Shumba, as well as being a refined and intimate camp, offers specialised bird-watching safaris. The Busanga Plains are home to nearly 500 different species: wattled cranes, Fülleborn's longclaws, Lady Ross's turacos, African finfoots—names unknown to some, magical to others.
ETHICS
Shumba is a Wilderness Safaris camp, specialists in conservation and ecotourism in Africa. Shumba was built with the help of the local community and provides them with jobs and tourism training. The camp strives to educate both children and adults on species protection to prevent poaching and destruction.
