Greystoke Mahale

On a forgotten beach along the eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika lies the sanctuary of Greystoke Mahale. The bungalows, or bandas, have been built in a stunningly charming ethnic style using wood from old traditional boats. In addition to chimpanzees, the Mahale Mountains National Park forest is home to at least 8 other primate species, bushbucks, wild pigs, leopards, and a whole host of birds to be caught on the wing.
