Onguma Safari Camps offers five types of «safari» accommodation experiences within a magnificent private reserve of over 20,000 hectares on the eastern side of Etosha National Park. Among them, you can discover a high-end camping experience with Onguma Tented Camp and its seven tents featuring a sleek, design-focused style. Onguma Tented Camp offers a remarkable balance between sophistication and simplicity through minimalist interior design intertwined with naturally integrated ethnic objects. The interior of the seven tents was inspired by a photograph of an oryx in Etosha's Fisher Pan, and presents a striking mix of colours (grey, cream, black or white with unexpected touches of vibrant green) and materials (stone, linen, wood and iron) that are in perfect harmony with nature. Safari activities sometimes take place right before your eyes, around the waterhole 60 metres from the camp, and continue by 4x4 in the private reserve and the neighbouring Etosha National Park. And, for the final touch, a superb swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols awaits you to cool off after your safari excursions.

THE EXTRAORDINARY
The advantage of a private reserve like Onguma, apart from the diversity of landscapes and animals, is that you only cross paths with a very limited number of other people, observe animals that are not over-harassed, organise guided walks, go on night 4x4 safaris and, exceptionally, go off-road.
ETHICS
The private reserve of Onguma is home to and protects more than thirty different animal species, including kudus, giraffes, elands, hartebeests, impalas, and predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards. The latest introduction was an entire family of black rhinos, which had been severely decimated in the past. Onguma has also launched a highly successful community farming project, named Oshivelo Farming, providing employment for 200 people.
