THE EXTRAORDINARY
The extreme intimacy and refinement of the lodge, which overlooks the private reserve and a waterhole frequented by wild animals. Having the chance to observe both white and black rhinoceroses in the same reserve. Coming face to face with a rare endemic species, the black-faced impala. 3 good reasons to stay in one of the 3 villas.
ETHICS
In 1991, the owners of Ongava transformed 4 unproductive ranches into a 30,000-hectare private reserve where numerous species were reintroduced, notably white and black rhinos, through a highly successful buffer zone project prior to their full release into the national park. Worth a visit is the new ORC: Ongava Research Centre, which is both modern and informative.
