Tswalu Motse

Tswalu, land of the cheetahs

In the heart of the Northern Cape province, on the edge of the mysterious and wild Kalahari desert, nestled at the foot of the Korannaberg mountains, lies the wonderful Tswalu Motse lodge. «Motse», meaning «village» in the Tswana language, is an intimate lodge comprising nine discreet and luxurious villas imbued with Kalahari style. Tswalu Motse is a dream lodge offering sumptuous red-clay villas that blend into the grandiose landscapes of the Kalahari. The lodge is located in a vast private reserve of over 1,000 km², dedicated to the rehabilitation of the Kalahari. Tswalu is experienced as a return to roots: dinners under the stars in the boma, visits to Bushman archaeological sites, learning about San culture, participation in conservation activities, an infinity pool overlooking a waterhole and a spa. Thrilling safaris by 4x4, on foot, or on horseback will introduce you to the reserve's flagship species: black-maned lions, little meerkats, desert black rhinos, wild dogs and graceful cheetahs. As a malaria-free region, children are welcomed here with a host of tailored activities.
