Hoanib Valley Camp

The land of the desert elephants

In the north-west of Namibia, Kaokoland is a spectacular region dotted with mountains, dunes and vast desert expanses, inhabited by the nomadic Himba people and a unique biodiversity. It is in this wild and remote environment that Hoanib Valley Camp, part of the Natural Selection group, has been established. Comprising just 6 tents, including one suitable for families, the camp blends seamlessly into the landscape, with hues and textures inspired by the rugged nature that surrounds it. The ochre of the dunes, the geometric patterns of the Himba people, the woven baskets and the pieces of art representing the famous Angolan giraffe… There is no doubt that the camp's atmosphere immerses visitors in the richness of Kaokoland. Powered by solar energy, the tents rest on raised wooden platforms, combining comfort and safety. A short walk away, the main tent houses the dining area, a lounge and a bar, as well as a small swimming pool which is most welcome during the heat. At the front, set on the sand, the campfire is the ideal place to enjoy a coffee at dawn before setting off on an excursion, or to admire the stars at nightfall. Like the elephants, rhinocere, giraffes, lions andoryx that roam this region, Hoanib Valley Camp will undoubtedly help you adapt to the desert…
