Bela Vista Hotel & Spa

The Algarve's first hotel

In this magnificent sun-drenched region of southern Portugal, on the beach of Praia da Rocha, the Bela Vista Hotel & Spa is a 19th-century family home set facing the ocean, which became the Algarve's first hotel in 1934. Now renovated, the Bela Vista remains an unspoilt retreat on this bustling coast, offering relaxation and privacy within a vibrant and colourful setting. Reserved for guests over twelve years of age, the property comprises three units: the Palacete built in 1918, the Casa Azul built in the 1930s, and the Bela Vista Jardim added in the early 2000s. Together, they offer 38 brightly elegant rooms and suites evoking the marine environment. At the Vista restaurant, you can savour the Michelin-starred cuisine of chef João Oliveira, or alternatively opt for a private candlelit dinner with a sea view at the top of the Palacete. From the sun loungers arranged around the lovely outdoor swimming pool, from the golden sandy beach accessed directly, or within the exclusive Spa L’Occitane, time stretches lazily on. At the Bela Vista, the sound of the waves lulls your every moment.
