Craveiral Farmhouse

Halfway between the sea and the Alentejo hinterland, Craveiral offers the perfect combination of nature and contemporary comfort, set against a backdrop of simple pleasures and authenticity. The owners' aim at Craveiral is simple: to do everything they can to make guests feel at home. The quinta therefore has a limited number of rooms—38—to ensure visitors' privacy. Set across nine hectares of land, the farm offers studios (which are nonetheless spacious) and one- or two-bedroom cottages with terraces. Some of the smaller cottages, offering greater privacy, are located in an area slightly removed from the farm and offer the privilege of access to an adults-only pool. At Craveiral, the food is organic and local in order to preserve all the flavours of the Alentejo terroir. The chef promises a generous and authentic culinary experience, made in part with produce from the hotel's own vegetable garden. At dinner time, guests can choose between a cosy dining room featuring a large fireplace, or opt for the outdoor terrace for a meal under the stars. There is always something to do at the quinta: relax by the indoor or outdoor pool, borrow the farm's bicycles to explore the country lanes, pick vegetables and herbs in the vegetable garden, or go horse-riding across the fields.
