    The Mystery of the Moai

    Explora Rapa Nui is a designer hotel with striking architecture set on a vast hill just a short walk from the ocean. Thirty luxurious and sleek rooms welcome you for a stay on the mystical Easter Island. Much more than just a hotel, the Posada promises you a unique experience thanks to the myriad of excursions on offer. Located in the heart of Easter Island, Explora Rapa Nui (or Posada de Mike Rapu) was built on a hill of nearly 10 hectares, giving the impression of being alone in the world. This lodge with contemporary architecture features 30 rooms distributed across two wings so that each one has an ocean view. Perfectly integrated into its environment, the lodge's natural design was conceived in late 2007 by architect José Cruz Ovalle, renowned for his work with wood. A few metres from the main lodge, the swimming pool and spa invite you to relax after a day of excursions. You can savour delicious cuisine, most of which comes from local agriculture and Pacific fishing. The Posada only offers full-board packages with activities included.
