    Right in the heart of the very boho-chic town of Trancoso, Uxua Casa opens its doors to 11 villas with stunning rustic charm and two restaurants celebrating Bahian flavours. A stay at Uxua promises numerous discoveries and a true immersion into Brazilian life. Uxua Casa is a little gem in the heart of Trancoso, an authentic fishing village on the Bahian coast. Four of the villas are fishermen's houses set around the Quadrado, a 16th-century historic square, while the other seven houses are nestled within a lush tropical garden. Featuring unique décor, they comprise one to two bedrooms to accommodate couples, families or groups of friends. Sourced from Uxua's kitchen garden or Trancoso's organic farms, the produce used in the kitchen is ultra-fresh. The spa offers a multitude of treatments carried out using a range of natural cosmetics developed by the hotel from plants native to the neighbouring rainforest. Lovers of tropical gentleness will appreciate the bohemian simplicity and understated luxury of this magnificent collection of houses, a true little corner of paradise.

    Every house at UXUA Casa Hotel features a unique decor that is both contemporary and rustic, offering you optimal comfort. With a minimum surface area of 90 m², they welcome you into an invigorating tropical setting where you can fully savour the gentle Brazilian way of life right in the heart of the village of Trancoso. Casa da Arvore is a 139 m² treehouse, designed entirely from recycled wood over 2 levels—a childhood dream!

    ETHICS

    The construction of Uxua Casa Hotel is the result of a collaboration between designer Wilbert Das and local artisans, using traditional building methods, reclaimed materials and Brazilian art. Every detail has been considered in order to minimise the impact on the environment and to integrate the people of Bahia into this hotel project.
