THE EXTRAORDINARY
La Ferme de Georges offers a walking trek between the natural lagoons of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park for a complete change of scenery. Three days of itinerant hiking starting from Atins to Queimada dos Britos to cross breathtaking, almost surreal landscapes and sleep in local homes in the park's oases. Please note that a 70 km walk in the sand requires a certain level of preparation!
ETHICS
La Ferme de Georges is a true Eden with a garden and an organic farm, tended with care by all the hotel staff. A wide variety of organic fruit and vegetables (free from pesticides and chemical fertilisers) are grown in the garden, alongside nearly 400 kilos of rice. Depending on the day and the season, you can help Osmar plant the rice, prepare the soil, harvest the vegetables, or simply help water the plants and collect the eggs.
