Hotel Bel Air

The celebrity lifestyle

Epicentre of Hollywood glamour, the historic 1930s Hotel Bel-Air was one of the most cherished havens of peace for Hollywood stars. This Spanish colonial-style property is surrounded by an exuberant garden of nearly 5 hectares, giving it a particularly tranquil atmosphere in the heart of the bustling city of Los Angeles. Completely renovated in 2011, the Bel-Air is a true legend in the Californian hotel industry. Combining contemporary design with historic colonial charm, its 103 rooms and suites offer a decor conducive to well-being, appealing with the modernity of the selected materials as well as their understated elegance. The hotel showcases a selection of works by world-renowned artists and surrounds itself with the best chefs on the international culinary scene. It is this high-flying standard that convinced the group Dorchester to enrich its collection with the Bel Air in 2008.

ETHICS

Mindful of the legendary environment of the Bel-Air, the hotel preserved more than 450 historic trees during its nearly two-year renovation process. More than 4,000 plants and shrubs were carefully removed and then replanted around Swan Lake, a sublime body of water that filters the water and is home to 3 permanent resident swans. Waste is recycled here and the hotel participates in the «Clean the World» programme, with the purchase of ecological products.
