    ETHICS

    The Ponant is the only yacht in the world with a hybrid sail-electric propulsion system: it can sail under sail alone and connect to the mains electricity supply in certain ports to minimise its environmental impact. On board, the use of plastic is kept to a minimum; 60% of packaging is recycled, and unavoidable waste is handed over to specialist recycling companies. The vessel is equipped with a desalination and wastewater treatment system. The Ponant sources its supplies directly from the places where it docks and pays particular attention to the traceability of its products.
