Forestis Dolomites

The Dolomites as a backdrop

Perched at an altitude of 1,800 metres, on the edge of the pine and larch forests of Mount Plose, FORESTIS blends seamlessly into the crisp contours of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, everything is silence, light and fresh air. Much more than just a hotel, FORESTIS is an alpine retreat, a place suspended between the sky and the peaks, where time slows down and nature takes the lead. Designed in a spirit of perfect harmony with the elements, FORESTIS draws its philosophy from the four fundamental forces of this unique place: pure spring water, crystal-clear air, abundant sunshine and a mild high-altitude climate. From these foundations springs a subtle architecture, conceived by Armin Sader: three slender wooden towers, connected to a restored historic building, form a refined ensemble where every material – spruce wood, dolomite stone, glass – tells the story of nature, without ever imitating it. The 62 suites at FORESTIS are like cosy cocoons facing the mountains. In a constant interplay between interior and exterior, they blend mineral tones, raw materials and clean lines. At the heart of this unique atmosphere, the cuisine draws its inspiration from the forest. Chef Roland Lamprecht, a native of South Tyrol, crafts an instinctive and sensory cuisine, blending Alpine heritage with contemporary elegance. Berries, mosses, herbs, flowers, roots, bark… Every ingredient is carefully selected, sometimes foraged at dawn in the forest clearings. His «forest cuisine» is expressed through seven-course menus, served in a terraced restaurant where every table faces the mountains, like a canvas that shifts with the passing hours. Wellbeing, meanwhile, comes to life within a 2,000 m² spa, inspired by natural Celtic practices. Known as "the Circle of Trees", this space pays homage to the virtues of Alpine essences through bespoke rituals.  The surrounding countryside becomes a playground for exploration. In winter, FORESTIS offers ski-in/ski-out access to the peaceful slopes of Plose. In summer, sunrise hikes, forest walks, meditation sessions, mountain biking and outdoor energy rituals accompany those seeking to reconnect with what really matters. At FORESTIS, each season transforms the landscape into a new, living canvas.
