Amanzoe

Reinterpretation of the Parthenon

Amanzoe is a haven of peace and elegance, conceived by the talented architect Ed Tuttle, in the eastern Peloponnese. Easily accessible from Athens by car, hydrofoil or helicopter, this Greek paradise has a new name. 38 Pavilion suites, 4 Beach Cabanas and 10 private Villas welcome guests from all over the world amidst a whirl of fragrances: lavender, thyme, marjoram... Just a few kilometres from the small port of Porto Heli, Amanzoe has erected its "palace" on top of a hill overlooking a breathtaking Mediterranean landscape, with privileged views of the island of Spetses. The impression of an ancient Acropolis is heightened at nightfall, with an agora featuring an almost Olympic flame. Around it are a restaurant, bar, boutique and reception; a little further on, a spa, gym, 2 green marble swimming pools and a pool restaurant; and finally below, the suites – or rather, true private villas – of rare elegance. Each villa offers a bedroom, a lounge, a bathroom with a sunken bathtub and outdoor shower, and finally a magnificent infinity pool overlooking the natural surroundings. The interior decoration showcases pale grey veined marble and large honey-coloured wood panels, with pristine white as the dominant shade.

ETHICS

Aman Group has made the equation "ecofriendly" = "beautiful" a reality. All their resorts have been designed with a rigorous aesthetic, in the architectural style of their host country, while preserving the natural setting in which they are located as much as possible. This is a true feat, bordering on perfection. Another major strength is that the resorts respect the "small is beautiful" philosophy, rarely offering a capacity of more than 40 rooms.
