THE EXTRAORDINARY
Maslina Resort enjoys an ideal location for exploring the island of Hvar. The island's history dates back to 384 BC when the Greeks built their first city on the shores of the Adriatic, Pharos, now known as Stari Grad. Nowadays, this UNESCO World Heritage-listed area is rich in treasures: landscapes dotted with lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards; wild islets dotting the coast; ancient fortresses, traditional taverns and shepherd villages; prehistoric caves...
ETHICS
Maslina Resort was designed to blend into the landscape and reduce its environmental footprint, notably thanks to its wooden facade, natural materials and limited height. Local and natural materials were also used for the interiors (Brač island stone, agave fibre, hemp, etc.). The property boasts a hectare of preserved gardens, a permaculture vegetable garden, a compost heap, its own wastewater treatment system, a heat recovery system, and single-use plastic is also banned.
