    Wa Ale is a superb ecotourism project in the heart of the Lampi Marine National Park, and also a sublime private island covered in a jungle teeming with life... Its signature, «A Luxury Adventure Retreat», sets the scene; it offers you a unique experience as close to nature as possible, with a choice of accommodation to suit your preferences: 11 superb safari tents or 3 charming tree houses, all facing the Andaman Sea. Located in the south-west of Myanmar, on the border with Thailand, the Mergui Archipelago consists of over 800 islands, most of which are uninhabited. Wa Ale offers a fabulous immersion in a perfectly preserved ecosystem. The small resort consists of just fifteen or so units, 11 safari-style tents with open-air bathrooms and 3 stilt houses, all offering generous views of the Andaman Sea. You can choose between lazing on Turtle Beach (with its turtle nests) or Honeymoon Beach (a deserted beach), jungle trekking with a guide (because it's a real jungle!), paddleboarding, kayaking, island hopping, snorkelling and scuba diving (the seabed is utterly breathtaking...), and you will particularly appreciate the sunsets as the resort faces west. Wa Ale is a true gem for fans of untouched nature, far from the hustle and bustle...

    ETHICS

    The resort was entirely built using reclaimed materials and operates on alternative energy sources to minimise its environmental impact. A percentage of the profits is directly reinvested into the conservation of Lampi Marine National Park (protection of turtles and coral, removal of marine debris, raising ecological awareness among fishing communities).
