Matetsi Victoria Falls

Far from the bustle of the Falls

On the banks of the Zambezi River, at the heart of a 50,000-hectare private reserve, Matetsi River Lodge comprises two intimate luxury camps, each housing nine suites. The latter boast a very mineral style, featuring the use of concrete, natural grey stone, African fabrics in anthracite tones, and the omnipresence of wood. They are spacious, decorated with local works of art, and all open onto an outdoor wooden deck with a small private plunge pool where you can relax and enjoy the soothing view over the waters of the Zambezi. The lodge is the ideal starting point for tracking elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards and cheetahs on foot, in a 4x4 or by canoe, accompanied by a ranger and a professional tracker who have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the local flora and fauna. In the evening, you can have a drink at the lodge's superb copper bar and share your day's African experience with the other guests. .
